26852 were trained on safeguarding children within their communities.

To build self governed communities with systems of safety that will prevent child sexual abuse and holistically restore those affected.

Child Safeguarding Policy

One of the most important aims of our Project is to safeguard children from sexual abuse and ensure that institutions are equipped to do so. We also want to enable quick and reliable response in the event of abuse. This is where Child Safeguarding Policies come in. We equip institutions to safeguard their children in the best way possible and put systems in place to ensure efficient response. This policy aims to define the behaviours and actions that constitute child abuse. Additionally, it will lay out the organisation’s expectations for behaviour, the scope of application of the policy and guidelines for reporting and redressal.

Child Safeguarding Training

The team conducts awareness sessions for children and stakeholders – parents, teachers, management of institutions, etc. These sessions cover topics on what child abuse is, POCSO Act how children can protect themselves from abuse and how they can get help for themselves or others. The same training for adults also consists of modules on indicators and consequences of abuse, signs of grooming and their responsibility in safeguarding children.

The team offers the training to individuals, organizations and institutions. A course on this training is available for people to take on our Learning Management System.

Rescue and Care

Justice and Hope is also involved in rescuing children from abuse, and providing legal and psychosocial care. Apart from rescuing, the team also provides counselling to children in the rehabilitation phase.

Advocacy and Campaigns

Justice and Hope advocates with the government on various fronts for safeguarding children. Online and offline campaigns are conducted on a regular basis to increase awareness on the issue and advocate for justice.
